Meet Pieter from Westpac

What’s something customers may not know about Westpac?
You may not know but Westpac as a group is Australia’s first bank and oldest company starting in 1817 as the Bank of New South Wales. Our bank offers a wide range of banking products for personal and business customers including Accounts, various Lending options, Insurances, and International transactions.

Something else customers may not know is that at our Wallsend branch, we have a dedicated Home Loan manager, and during COVID we offer deferred repayment options.

What’s your favourite thing about your job?
My favourite thing about my job is being able to help our customers find a solution to any problem they have. I also love the Wallsend Village community because the retailers are close and always friendly. We help and support each other where needed.

How have you adapted to COVID-19 and what keeps you motivated to succeed?
We have remained open throughout the COVID pandemic and have adapted well through guidance from our head office. Knowing that we can help our customers find solutions and make them feel valued is what motivates us to keep going during this difficult time.

What feedback do you get from customers and what would you like to say to them?
Customers always tell us that we are a friendly and dedicated team who is always willing to help. To the customers who have continued to support our branch, thank you so much! We really appreciate each and every customer.
